Community-based Mentoring

Community-based mentors meet two to four times a month with their Little Brother or Little Sister to hang out.

In Community-based mentoring, you and your Big Brother or Big Sister can do whatever you typically like to do when you want to share in any fun activity out in the community. Ask your Big Brother or Big Sister if they have any plans for the day…

  • Go to the movies.
  • Play in the park.
  • Get a burger.
  • Walk your dog.
  • Wash your car.
  • Go on a hike.
  • Just have fun.

Our staff can help you by providing ideas, as well as free activities and tickets to community events.

Site-based Mentoring

Site-based mentors meet with their Little Brother or Little Sister in a local school, church  or other designated site to eat lunch, review homework, or simply spend time together playing games or talking.

Spend time at school sharing some thoughts with your Big Brother or Big Sister…

  • Tell them how your classes are going.
  • Tell them how your grades are improving.
  • Tell them about your friends.
  • Tell them about your goals for the future.

You typically meet one hour per week for one year during the school day or after school.
